Darkroom in a Day: Developing and Printing your own photos

Learn everything from loading your film to printing from negatives in our darkroom in a day workshop
Have you ever wanted to try anologue film photography but don't have access to the equipment you need to get started? This course is sutible for absolute beginners to those with more experience wishing to try darkroom practices for the first time or brush up on skills they haven't used for a while. All courses are delivered in a relaxed, friendly social atmosphere.
You will leave this workshop with the skills to return to Leigh Hackspace's community darkroom able to process and print your own black & white negatives.
Take photos and process your negatives! Let us show you the basics! Loading film, how to get the most out of your equipment and composing great photos! If you already have a black and white film you'd like us to show you how to develop you can have a roll of film to take home, ready for your next shoot!
After lunch, your negatives will be dry and ready for you to create a contact sheet to preview all your shots and decide which images you'd like to enlarge and print using traditional darkroom techniques!
Please feel free to bring along any black and white negatives that you'd like to have a go at enlarging
