Identifying risk correctly is absolutely vital in order to address risk and increase victim safety.
Anyone using the DASH RIC tool should be trained and accredited to use the DASH Risk Model.
This training will give you an understanding of the dynamics of abuse, stalking and so called 'honour based abuse' (HBA). You will be able to confidently identify high-risk cases and make defensible decisions to best support survivor safety.
What will I learn?

• Describe some characteristics commonly held by perpetrators.
• Understand the human and financial cost of domestic abuse, stalking and HBA.
• Describe the impact that the behaviours have on victims' lives.
• Be able to identify high-risk cases of domestic abuse, stalking and HBA.
• Describe risk and how to identify and manage risk in cases.
• Explain the DASH risk assessment model.
• Be able to identify dangerous and serial perpetrators.
• Be confident in making defensible decisions based on the evidence from extensive research of cases including homicides, near misses and lower level incidents.
