Monitoring evaluation and learning (MEL) is a cycle; starting with planning an evaluation, collecting data, and then analysing and using what you have learned to improve what you do, report to funders, influence policy or practice, feedback to young people or promote your service. This training session will focus on quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis and reporting. It will help you to think about:
- What quantitative and qualitative data you might need to collect for your project or service,
- What tools you might want to use to collect the data you need
- How to collect data ethically and effectively
- How to make sense of what you have collected – turning data into useful information
- How to create compelling and insightful evaluation reports
