What is this project about?

This is a creative engagement project inviting people to explore what personal health data — like retinal images — means to them. It’s about understanding public views and feelings around health data through creative tasks and a friendly workshop.

Do I need to have a background in healthcare or data?

No! You don’t need any experience or knowledge in healthcare or data. We’re interested in your everyday thoughts and experiences. Nothing technical.

Question 3

What will I be asked to do?

You’ll receive a pack of creative, hands-on activities to do at home (nothing difficult!). Then, you’ll join a relaxed in-person workshop in Aberdeen on Saturday 3rd August to chat about what you created and share your thoughts.

Who can take part?

We’re looking for people who live in or near Aberdeen, especially:

Young adults aged 18–30

Older adults aged 50+

Is there payment for taking part?

Yes! All participants will receive a £100 voucher as a thank you and have travel expenses covered.

Question 6

How long will it take?

Accepted Answer

We will send the activities (cultural probes) to your home, so you can complete them at your own pace. This should take about a couple of hours total. The workshop on Saturday 3rd August will last around 7 hours, with refreshments, biscuits, and lunch provided.

Can I take part if English isn’t my first language?
