Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Nonprofits, social enterprises (or CICs) and other businesses for good often collect data but struggle to analyze it effectively, demonstrate their impact to funders, or use it for strategic decision-on making. In this workshop, we will talk about using your existing data to ask yourself the right questions and find the answers to help you take action within your organisation.Specifically, we will touch upon:

Identifying key questions your data can answer.
Basic data cleaning and organization techniques.
Introduction to some descriptive statistics (averages, frequencies, percentages) and what they mean.
Using data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in service delivery.
Creating simple dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

How should I prepare for the workshop?

This workshop applies everywhere! These principles can apply in multiple contexts and industries as we are focusing more on the ability to do some of the work yourself, rather than your industry (but we'd love to learn more!). We also intend to personalise the experience to workshop attendees.
