Data-Driven Resilience: Shaping Northern Ireland's Future Post-Covid.

Although the Covid Recovery Strategy ended in August 2023, the effects of Covid on the population will be felt further into the future. We are holding this event to bring academics, data specialists and policy leads together to consider what research is needed to meet current and anticipated information/evidence needs until the end of the decade and beyond.

Within NI, we know that many departments and organisations have strategies in place to utilise the knowledge gained from Covid. We are also aware of the wealth of data routinely collected and believe the key to success is in integrating these efforts.

The event on 21st November 2023, 09.30-14.30 in The Stormont Pavilion, will be the first in a series to talk about how we can improve societal resilience in a post Covid era through improved policy, data preparedness and research. In addition to considering short- and long-term data and research strategies for Covid recovery and social resilience in the face of other yet unknown societal shocks, we will facilitate working groups who can advise on specific subject areas such as health, education, and the economy.
