This series aims to help professionals manage peoples information securely and transparently and improve necessary information sharing

ABOUT:

The Data Governance Peer Support Group is our brand new network for information governance, data protection and other professionals in the information space. It aims to help professionals manage peoples information securely and transparently and improve necessary and proportionate information sharing.

It aims to highlight the best practice and innovation happening across the UK. This includes sharing the great work happening within the iNetwork membership and also with a range of high quality expert speakers and subject experts nationally. It will also help to keep you updated with the constantly changing legislative landscape. We will bring in government departments and stakeholders to provide updates on changes and ensure you are equipped to manage these.

We will also have space for people to raise their own issues they are facing, successes they are having and learn from each other. Finally it provides a valuable chance for you to network with other professionals across the North West and Yorkshire, make connections, build relationships, and provide mutual support.

Upcoming topics:

  • Data Sharing – a look at some of the great data sharing practices happening across our membership
  • Digital Economy Act – a deep dive into the digital economy act and how its being developed and changed
  • Data Ethics – understanding and sharing how best to manage the different principles of data ethics when handling peoples information
  • Digital Preservation – how to manage and retain and manage digital records.
