What is Data Journalism?
Data Journalism combines data, visual design and journalism to tell a relevant story.
It's all about the story, but in the digital age we now have exciting new ways to bring stories to life. It can be a data visualisation, an interactive graphic or other creative way of bringing the data to life.
What is a Data Journalism weekend?
Qualtrics have surveyed 5,000 respondants across Europe and collected their opinions on "attitudes to work". Combined this represents hundreds of thousands of data points, there are great stories waiting to be told!
We are giving 6 teams two days to sift through and analyse the data. Teams will comprise of journalists, designers and web developers. If you would like to get involved register for this event today as numbers will fill up fast.
When you register, please specify area of interest journalist / designer / web developer / other. People of all skill levels are welcome to join.
What do the winning team get?
Qualtrics and our media partner The Irish Times will present an award to the winning team on Sunday afternoon.
Teams will be judged on the following criteria: Visualise, Narrate, Socialise, Humanise, Personalise, Utilise Communication
Prize: Winning team will be featured on the Irish Times Website. They will also win a Qualtrics software license.
