Join us for a special day of coastal discovery at the Firth of Forth! This event marks an exciting step forward in our environmental monitoring and citizen science efforts.
We’re thrilled to share that following a recent visit from Rui Seabra, co-leader of the CCTBON (Climate Change in the Transatlantic Biodiversity Observation Network) research project, we’ve successfully installed temperature data loggers along our shorelines. These loggers will help us monitor long-term changes in coastal temperatures, contributing to a growing Atlantic-wide climate monitoring network.
We’re delighted that, thanks to support from the ELGOL Fund for Nature, we’re now part of a collaborative international effort to collect crucial data about our changing oceans — and we’d love for you to be part of it!
📍 What to expect:
- A brief introduction to the CCTBON project and our new data loggers
- Demonstrations on how we collect and retrieve data
- A hands-on Intertidal Bioblitz, where we’ll explore and document the amazing biodiversity living on the shores of the Firth of Forth
Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just curious about the ocean, come along and get involved!
