About this event
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Data Natives Open Forum - new series of meetups that shift the focus to a human-centered approach to tech through the lens of topics we all care about - physical and mental health, love, mindfulness and sport.
Honoring the Valentine's Day (haters gonna hate), Data Natives Open Forum’s 1st meetup will focus on sextech & love 🍑
The 50 billion dollars sextech market helps us explore our sexual identity and communication while gaining access to our most intimate data - from body temperature to vibration frequencies to saving settings preferences.
Join us on February 18th for short introductions and panel discussion with invited experts in the industry and find out if and how we should set boundaries for our intimate data collection.
18:15-18:30: Elena Poughia, CEO & Founder of Data Natives
"Welcome to the Data Natives Open Forum"
18:30-18:35: Alex Gillon, Founder of Modality Group
"Why we need inclusive data in sex tech"
Data is hard to get in sextech. Between the taboo and the discretion, no one wants to talk. The information there is, however, is not inclusive, leaving several populations out of the pleasure autonomy discussion. In this talk, we will explore how better sextech data could create a better world.
18:35-18:40: Marina Begović, BI Analyst @ Amorelie
"Making Love Toys Mainstream; why it's not e-commerce as usual"
There is much overlap in much of e-commerce business, but what about when your star products are vibrators, no shoes? What do you do when your content is blocked by most advertising platforms, your site is flagged in the same category as pornography and even your customers are unwilling to openly tell you what they think? You get creative.
18:40-18:45: Alistair Croll, the Visiting Executive of Harvard Business School
