Who should attend?
This half day course provides a practical and hands-on approach to understanding data protection in the independent school setting. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to navigate data protection in real-world scenarios. Attendees will also gain an understanding of the UK’s key data protection legislation (the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018). The course focuses on some key areas of compliance, such as data subject requests, data protection principles, and response strategies to data breaches.
This course will benefit participants working at any level within the independent school sector, particularly those with compliance-focused roles. It caters to a broad audience, ensuring that participants from various professional backgrounds can benefit from the content. This beginners course is ideal for those with limited previous training or experience in data protection matters.
