Bournemouth, Poole and District Group, Breakfast session
7.00 am for 7.30 am start
Every organisation should take appropriate security measures against the theft, unauthorised use and accidental loss of data. Many organisations think this means investing in IT, but focusing on technology alone to address data security is not enough.
Our speaker, Robert Wassall, believes that organisations should adopt a culture of information security, the key elements of which are transparency, privacy and security.
Robert will demonstrate how to put in place an information governance framework with training and supporting processes to work alongside technical security measures.
Robert Wassall is a Solicitor. He is the Founder and Managing Director of 'DataHelp' - a consultancy firm that advises businesses about data protection and information security. In December 2016, DataHelp obtained Cyber Essentials accreditation.
Robert has advised well-known high street businesses, a French public company, a major British manufacturer, a leading cyber-security firm, charities, housing associations and SMEs. He believes that the 'secret' of good data protection is to have a culture of data security that creates trust.
