Data Protection Training

This course is for Staffordshire Adult Social Care Providers or providers who are commissioned by Staffordshire County Council.

On 25 May 2018 General Data Protection Regulations became UK law. This is the biggest change to Data Protection legislation in 20 years and has impacted on all organisations dealing with personal data. This training will provide delegates with an introduction to the key requirements that you should to comply with.

The session will cover:

• Privacy Notices/Fair Processing

• New rights for subjects Security and risk management

• Mandatory breach reporting

• Data Protection Officer

• The role of the Information Commissioner

• know how to keep a robust system of evidence.

• be able to identify potential information risks and how to avoid them.

• understand the life cycle of data and how to plan for it.
