This is the second presidential debate of the 2012 election. By now we'll have seen how President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney interact on stage. This will be a very different event, staged as a town meeting with questions coming from the public.
As the 2008 Debate screenings demonstrated, watching the debates in the company of your fellow Democrats is an unmissable experience. We'll cheer on Obama, boo Romney, and make up our own minds about how it went. A moderated discussion will follow the debate screening.
The moderator will be Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent). The second presidential debate, originally broadcast in the US on October 16, will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues.
Book early, as we expect this event to sell out fast!
The RADA Bar will be open from 6PM to 11PM, so come early for a drink or stay afterwards for more discussion.
Fired up and looking for ways to help? Drop by our new Democrats Abroad Campaign Office at International Students House, 229 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PN (Tube: Great Portland Street Tube or Regent's Park). The Campaign Office is open Monday-Friday from 12-9pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 12-5pm. Come and volunteer! Join us in our efforts to get out the vote in this election.
You can register to vote at www.votefromabroad.org or register on the night of the event.
Please note that DAUK will be screening all four debates. See dauk.eventbrite.co.uk for the other event listings.
