A performance by David Ward in Jyll Bradley’s Pardes, followed by a conversation between David and Jyll about their work and their collaboration, chaired by Fiona Bradley.

A new performance by David Ward, WALKING/PAUSING/IN GATHERING LIGHT (The Orchard Suite) which responds to the themes and the geometries within Bradley’s work, drawing on the continuing conversation between the two artists, and on sources in poetry and painting. This collaboration is a partner to Ward’s performance in Bradley’s installation Dutch/Light at Turner Contemporary, Margate (2017/2019) which gave rise to their film Woman Holding a Balance (2021). Ward returns to the Fruitmarket having first performed there with Bruce McLean in Partition in 1986.

We want everyone attending to feel as safe as possible. We are therefore asking all guests to take a lateral flow test prior to attending. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms of illness.
