Event description

Description

Join us for an early morning bird walk, when the nigh breaks and the sun start to rise, the birds greets the day by singing.

Its the fittest, best-fed males who produce the strongest, most impressive song. Females therefore choose a mate who sings best, because such a male is more likely to be good at raising chicks, to have a good territory, or to pass successful genes to their young.

The dawn chorus, it is one of spring’s most delightful natural events. We will both look for native birds like robins and skylarks but also the migrants, including blackcaps, goldfinch, greenfinch.

John Gard, has 50 years’ experience of the local area and a great passion for nature and birds. He has kindly offered to guide though Ham lands and share his knowledge, with his we are very lucky to have him as our guided.

Make sure to dress warm, and wear strong waterproof footwear.

Unfortunatly no dogs for this walk please, since we need to move quitely and carefully to not scare of the birds
