Join us early in the morning to listen to the dawn chorus. We will walk through Harperley Woods, Tanfield Lea Marsh and towards Causey Arch as we hear the birds singing at the start of a new day and hopefully get to see some of them too!
The walk will finish at 7.15am and we will make our way to the Oak Tree Inn in Tantobie for a cooked breakfast and tea / coffee or orange juice.
This session will be delivered by Sacha Elliot from Northumbria Ringing Group.
Please come along dressed for the weather with suitable footwear for a walk in the woods. Wellies would be useful as it will be muddy in places. Please wear extra layers as it can be quite cold at this time of the morning. A pair of binoculars would be useful if you have them along with a torch.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a free event which is part of a programme of community events that have been funded by Stanley AAP Small Grants Fund.
