DAWN PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE

Join me on a dawn walk around Manchester's Northern Quarter and learn some great tips on taking photographs in low light. You'll also get to see the city centre at a time of day when most people are in bed...

The course starts on the Friday evening at 18.30 in the Apple Store, where I'll introduce my Not Quite Light project and run through some basic techniques for seeing and capturing pictures. This section will last for 90 minutes.

Then, on the Saturday morning you'll join me at dawn ( deep breath ) and meet me in Stevenson Square at 5.15am. Dawn will have finished by about 6.30am, after which you're free to stagger off back to bed...

On Sunday 3rd we'll reconvene at the Apple Store at 11.30am and spend a couple of hours going through your images and doing some post production using the Apple photo software. The images will then be put on the screens in the shop for a short while, and I'll also feature them on my blog.

You'll need a camera ( DSLR or, if using film, you'll have to have files digitised for the Sunday session ). A tripod is highly recommended as exposures will be long.

Places are limited to 8 to ensure one on one time with me during the course.

The course is appropriate for all levels.
