Set your alarm and join a knowledgeable New Forest National Park Authority ranger for a sunrise walk to learn about the Forest’s birds and listen out for an early-season dawn chorus.
This guided walk offers the chance to hear all about the special birds that call the New Forest home and how, from woodland to the fringes of heathland, they use the power of song to claim territories and mates.
Attendees will have the chance to hear fire crest, gold crest, marsh tit, and possibly woodpeckers.
The morning’s walk will follow an out-and-back route and last for approximately two and a half to three hours. Attendees should wear suitable robust footwear, dress for a fresh spring morning, and bring their own drinks. The trail will be suitable for pushchairs.
There are unfortunately no toilets in this area (the closest will be in Lyndhurst) and dogs are not allowed on this wildlife walk.
