Event description

Description

Please register on this page for Event 1 of 2 on Saturday 25 November 2017:

These events are free, and open to everyone interested in strengthening contemporary visual art in Lorne (north Argyll) and its neighbouring areas.

Each day is organised to be a whole event in itself, but please join us for both days so you can meet more people and contribute to the discussions as they develop.

The events are devised by Deirdre MacKenna as part of the Locating Lorne programme and will

introduce some of the artists, living locally and elsewhere, who are currently undertaking research for the 'Locating Lorne' programme which will be developed in 2018, and

explore how artists, architects, planners, curators, publishers and others have used visual imagery to frame their ideas about Lorne in the past.

Collaborating with Deirdre on these events, artist Laura Donkers will respond to the presentations and dialogues which develop. Event logistics are organised by Federica Cesaroni, Università Roma Tre.
