Day 1: Paint, paper, brush

Join us for the first day of our Summer art workshop programme in which we will be exploring brush control and paint texture in watercolour and acrylic! All materials will be supplied!

Techniques:

• Drawing with the brush
• Laying a wash
• Building up glazes
• The effect of different papers
• Still life exercises

Materials:

Poster paints, watercolours, acrylics, large brushes, newsprint, cartridge and watercolour papers. Plus objects and plants for still life.

This is an entry level workshop, you do not need to have any prior experience as we will guide you through each technique - Everyone is welcome!
