This energising full-day masterclass will explore the manifestation of stress in both the brain and body and thereon the impact of long-term stress on our physical being. We will explore the consequences of chronic stress including adrenal fatigue and burnout as well as related health conditions.

We will engage in the exploration of our personal responses to stress through becoming more aware of personal patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour. This enhanced self-awareness will give us greater control of our ability to combat our stressors at the earliest stage. This supports an early intervention approach to managing stress through monitoring our stress-levels regularly and being empowered to take personal responsibility for our individual responses to stress and resist destructive behaviours.

The second half of the session will introduce the concept of resilience and unpick what it really means. Resilience is much more than just the ability to 'bounce-back' and we will consider what how we all have different levels of resilience that are determined by many factors such as our values and belief systems, the language we use, memories that we have and the decisions we have made. We will look at the influencers of resilience and what we can do to embrace a resilient lifestyle, moving beyond the use of short-term healthy or unhealthy coping strategies. This will give us the clarity around which areas of our lives we would like to apply change to and refreshed perspectives on how we might do so.

The session will provide a range of practical tools and techniques derived from psychotherapy and personal growth methodologies. Delegates will be equipped with a powerful set of methods that can be used as instant stress-reducers in both our personal and professional lives. Being able to manage our stress in this way will see us having more headspace, energy and enthusiasm for the things that matter which results in us reaping the rewards of increased levels of productivity and performance.

The day will begin to close with a practical demonstration of what can be done in and outside of work to introduce and implement a mentally healthy workplace culture. Our special guest from the world of workplace wellbeing will deliver a highly-engaging and interactive 45-minute self-care slot to allow us to experience for ourselves what kinds of wellbeing strategies we can adopt to stay well both inside and outside of work.

The grand finale will be a game-style review of learning using Kwizzbit, the interactive quiz! This fun, power-packed quiz will really bring out the competitive-edge in our delegates as we are tested on not only our ability to answer questions correctly, but also in the quickest time!
