Description

The third training day:

Developing networks of support, partnership & collaborative working – featuring speakers from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Barking & Dagenham Somali Women’s Association and The School of Life speaker: Roman Krznaric

Roman Krznaric - Roman is a social philosopher whose books, including Empathy, The Wonderbox, and How to Find Fulfilling Work, have been published in more than 20 languages. He is the founder of the world’s first Empathy Museum and of the digital Empathy Library. He is also a founding faculty member of The School of Life and on the faculty of Year Here. His new book is Carpe Diem Regained, a biography of ‘seize the day’.

Roman has been named by The Observer as one of Britain’s leading popular philosophers. His writings have been widely influential amongst political and ecological campaigners, education reformers, social entrepreneurs and designers. An acclaimed public speaker, his talks and workshops have taken him from a London prison to Google’s headquarters in California. www.romankrznaric.com

Anne Dodwell - Anne is a Development Officer for the Heritage Lottery Fund and works across the London region, supporting groups through advice and guidance to develop strong applications for funding.

We hope to be joined by Zahra Ibrahim, Director of B&D Somali Women's Association, and also both Councillor Saima Ashraf and MP Margaret Hodge (TBC)
