Day course - Beginner's upholstery - strip, pad and cover a dining chair

About this Event
Social distancing Class numbers will be restricted to no more than 4 people. Those attending class will be asked to bring their own masks and gloves please. Benches and tools will be wiped before use.
During this class, you may bring your own dining chair. David will pick one chair from the group to use as a demonstration piece. David will show restoration, paint and upholstery techniques and at each stage you may work on your own chair under supervision.

What is the difference between this and the half-day class?With the half-day class, you may bring your own dining chair if you wish. David will pick one chair to demonstrate on and you will have a chance to try out the techniques he demonstrates. With the full day class, participants will be working on their own chair under instruction.

General information for your visit.
Please wear clothes suitable for dusty work, sensible shoes and your own lunch. There is a local shop nearby if you wish to buy lunch or you can bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and coffee is provided throughout the day.
If you have some of your own tools and would like to learn how to use them properly, then you are welcome to bring them and use them on the course. We have a fully equipped workshop so there is no need to bring anything, but some students like to bring their own.
