Event description

Description

THIS EVENT IS FOR UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW, COLLEGE OF ARTS POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENTS ONLY.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE TO 25 OCTOBER 2019.

Join the Graduate School for an exciting trip for Postgraduate Research students.

We will be heading to one of Rothesay's top tourist attractions "Mount Stuart" where you will be able to experience the past and see the future. This beautiful house encompasses both Georgian and Victorian architecture and is surrounded by 300 acres of garden.

We will be given a guided tour of the house, filled with innovations from an early telephone system to a Victorian passenger lift. We will also have the chance to discover the gardens – home to globally-significant plant collections and striking views.

We should arrive back in Glasgow around 19:00 that evening.

Cost

A £10 deposit is required - the rest of the cost is subsidised by the Arts Graduate School and includes entry to the house and gardens; tour of the house; lunch; and all transport costs.
