D:BATE 04: Rethinking Architecture: Should Bath be looking to the future or the past?
Wednesday, 26 June 2013 from 18:30 to 21:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
What were your views on the Southgate development, the Holburne Museum extension, the new bus garage? Development in Bath is one of those topics that really divides opinion. Are our planners, designers, architects and developers treading the balance well ... between innovation/development and the need to preserve the precious heritage of our beautiful City?
In association with Donald Insall Associates, and as part of the 'Love Architecture Festival 2013', D:BATE present the latest in their series of topical debates on the motion:
'Rethinking Architecture: Should Bath be looking to the future or the past?'
In the usual D:BATE format, two sides will tackle the contentious issues surrounding the development of the architecture and public realm of Bath with the chair taking votes before and after the event to assess which side swings the public vote most effectively.
Tickets are £6 (£5 concession for students and senior citizens).
Doors open at 1830hrs for a 1900hrs start. Estimated finish time 2100hrs.
Bar on premises.
