According to our records you have been offered a conditional place at Craven College in one of the following subject areas:
Early Years, Health & Social Care, Sport & Fitness, Aviation
One of the conditions of your offer is that a check of police records by the Disclosure & Barring Service is carried out. This will require you to provide a selection of documents to confirm your identity and current address.
You need to follow this process as soon possible – you will not be able to complete your enrolment until it is done.
To apply for a DBS Disclosure through Craven College you need to book your place on one of our DBS Checking sessions. You sign up for a specific 15 minute timeslot and at the session we will help you fill out the form and check your identification.
- On arrival you will be given a DBS application form to complete. You are required to provide THREE pieces of documentation to support your application. These must be the original documents (photocopies are not acceptable) We suggest:
- Your passport

- A recent bank statement/official letter on letter headed paper (dated within 3 months) showing your name and current address. This cannot be a letter from Craven College however examples include: a letter from a hospital, doctors, dentist or workplace.
- If you cannot provide all of these documents please contact Central Admissions on 01756 708008 for alternatives. If you do not bring all the required evidence we may not be able to accept your application.
The cost of the DBS will be £44 (this is the charge made by the DBS for their service). This will be payable at enrolment. Please note your DBS will not be posted and processed until payment is made.
