Come along and join this 1.5 hour webinar hosted by Lizzie Whittington, DBS Regional Outreach Adviser for the East Midlands. Lizzie works with all organisations in the region, no matter their size or sector, to help them understand the importance of safeguarding and DBS checks.

This webinar provides information on the application process for Enhanced DBS checks. If you would like to understand the process behind the applications, how the police consider the disclosure of additional intelligence and what to do if you face delays, then this workshop will provide you with additional context. This is ideal for those in recruitment, HR and anyone who arranged for DBS checks to be carried out.

This webinar will cover:

  • The Enhanced DBS check process
  • The Police check Stage (4) of the DBS Enhanced check process
  • How to escalate delays in applications, including information regarding the 'hardship escalation' route.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who has responsibility for engaging with DBS processes and legislation within their organisation including those who decide on levels of checks to be applied for, carry out recruitment or manage staff in regulated activity or have responsibility for safeguarding or trustees.
