Come along and join this 1 hour webinar hosted by Kelly Matthews, DBS Regional Outreach Adviser for the South East of England. Kelly works with all organisations in the region, no matter their size or sector, to help them understand the importance of safeguarding and DBS checks.
This session is more specific, and will be ideal for those who manage safeguarding concerns within their organisations and may be responsible for sharing information with DBS as part of the barring process, especially those working in information governance/data protection teams, human resources and team managers.
This webinar will cover:
why requests are made by DBS and what we do with that information
• the legal duty placed on regulated activity providers to provide this information
• the legislation that underpins these requests and allows for sharing with confidence
• the importance of responding to requests to safeguard vulnerable groups
This webinar is suitable for anyone who has responsibility for engaging with DBS processes and legislation within their organisation including those who decide on levels of checks to be applied for, carry out recruitment or manage staff in regulated activity or have responsibility for safeguarding or trustees.
