DBS Quality Referrals Bitesize for East Midlands Employers & Voluntary Orgs

This short 1 hour webinar is suitable for anyone wanting a refresher on what is involved in making a good quality referral to the DBS.

This session will be hosted by Lizzie Whittington, DBS Regional Outreach Adviser for the East Midlands. Lizzie works with all organisations in the region, no matter their size or sector, to help them understand the importance of safeguarding and DBS checks. If you are involved in managing safeguarding concerns, this webinar will be useful for you!

Organisations who employ individuals or have volunteers who carry out regulated activity with children or adults have a legal duty to refer to DBS if certain conditions are met. This webinar is designed to support organisations to understand what is best practice when it comes to making a referral, including consideration of context and supporting documents that will aid the decision making process. This session is suitable for those who already have an understanding of Barring referrals and would like a refresher, with plenty of time for questions.
