Understanding the "mandatory" Policies
Module: Operations Management
There are some policies and procedures that all groups and organisations need. These set out how the main risky areas are dealt with and what to do in case a problem arises. This is one area where groups often don’t have anything in place – and that’s a problem, especially for the Trustees who have a legal responsibility to manage the organisation properly. This free taster session will help you to understand what are the most important policies to have and how to get started.
This session will cover:
- What are policies and procedures
- Which are the “must have” policies and why
- The steps for creating and implementing a policy and procedure (briefly)
- Where to find good templates for your organisation
This course is a brief introduction leading on the training courses which cover all of the main policies in depth and how to implement them at your organisation.
Suitable for: anyone – you don’t have to have any prior knowledge of policies
