Reshaping Your Councils - Consultation on Unitary Proposals for Dorset
All of Dorset's councils are working together to seek the views of local businesses about the proposals to reduce the number of councils in the county from nine down to two from 2019. It is important businesses understand the implications of the proposed models and the impact this will have on issues such as business rates, housing, planning, infrastructure and economic development.
Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry are delivering this event on behalf of Dorset's councils to offer businesses across the county the opportunity to input in to the consultation discuss the implications of the reforms from a business perspective.
Chief Executives of local authorities will be in attendance as will Opinion Research Services who are managing the consultation on behalf of the nine local authorities.
The format for the event is as follows:
08.30 to 09.00 Registration and networking with light refreshments
09.00 to 09.45 Overview of proposed models & business implications from local authorities
09.45 to 10.30 Q & A / discussion on the key issues for business
