In this Economic and Social Research seminar, join Geoff Meen, Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Reading, to discuss affordability and affordable housing, and to hear his reflections on future research and policy.

 

 Geoff Meen

 

Geoff is Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Reading. He specialises in housing economics, including problems of affordability.

 

He has been Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords Economic Affairs Select Committee during its recent Inquiry into the Economics of the UK Housing Market and also works closely with the Department of Communities and Local Government. He was awarded an OBE in 2007 for his work on housing.

 

He has published in most of the leading academic journals in the field and recently published a new book on historical approaches to housing economics.
