Event description

Description

In this Economic and Social Research Seminar, Matthew Whittaker, Chief Economist at the Resolution Foundation, discusses the changing size and role of the State.

Matthew joined the Resolution Foundation in 2008 and is responsible for the organisation’s economic analysis. He has been involved in the publication of numerous reports on the labour market, taxes and benefits, government finances, household debt and social policy. He took a leading role in defining the low to middle income group that is the focus of the Resolution Foundation’s work and has served on many working groups and advisory panels on issues relating to living standards. He also serves as the Foundation’s liaison with the Employment, Equity and Growth programme being undertaken by the Institute for New Economic Thinking at Oxford University.

You must book a ticket through Eventbrite if you wish to attend any DCLG seminars in this series.

Booking through Eventbrite ensures that your name is on the attendee list. This means that we can contact you if the seminar is postponed or rescheduled. It also guarantees that you will be expected at reception. Bring your ticket with you to avoid any difficulty with checking in on the day of the seminar. If you do not book a ticket through Eventbrite, your name will not be on the attendee list and this will cause you a delay in being admitted to the seminar.
