Deaf Awareness Training

Mark Gill is profoundly deaf and will be providing an insight into his own personal experience of being deaf in a workplace, as well as offering solutions to reduce communication barriers, both technological and people oriented.

The session will be interactive and fun as well as very informative. You will also learn some basic British Sign Language.

The aim of the training is to improve communication and remove barriers between Deaf and hearing people. The training can support you to not only meet your requirements under the Equality Act but also enhance working relationships within teams and improve access to your services.
