Deafblind Equality for Domestic Abuse frontline staff

This specialist training is designed for professionals working in domestic abuse services who want to better support Deafblind survivors. The course will equip staff with the knowledge and practical skills to understand deafblindness and respond to complex communication needs.

Participants will learn how deafblindness impacts daily life in a refuge setting, explore different types of communication and assistive equipment, and gain guidance on where to access the right support. The training also covers how to adapt refuge environments to make them safer and more accessible for Deafblind women.
