It is essential for employers to deal properly with disciplinary issues or they could end up facing hefty awards for compensation at Employment Tribunal.
Getting the process right is critical for a fair dismissal regardless of what the employee has done. Disciplinary proceedings regularly throw up difficult issues for employers to grapple with. The aim of this interactive workshop is to explore these issues using scenarios and help employers find practical solutions to overcome them.
During this session speakers from Howes Percival will answer questions such as:
• When should you suspend?
• Can an employee be legally represented?
• How should an investigation be carried out?
• What questions should you ask witnesses?
• Can a witness' identity be kept confidential?
• What if a grievance gets raised?
• What if the employee goes off sick?

This event is free for CIPD members to attend. The non-member fee is £12, non-member places may be cancelled up to 1 week before the event, after that the delegate fee is non-refundable
