Event description

Description

Any review or audit of a collection usually throws up issues with non-accessioned items, whether handling collections, set dressing, historic loans, uncollected objects, objects with no paper trail etc.

Join MDNW, Janet Ulph (Professor of Law at Leicester University) and Sarah Brown (Outreach Officer at Collections Trust) to discuss the issues around the status of non-accessioned items and how museums can ethically and legally deal with these.

Delegates will be invited beforehand to submit (anonymously if required) any current scenarios they are currently dealing with regarding non-accessioned items, for the panel to discuss and debate.
