Event description

Description

We've all had times in our working life where things haven't quite played out the way we expected them to. However you'll notice that everyone deals with these disappointment in different ways.

This session is designed to give you a quick sets of tools and techniques that will help you:

  • See how the environment around you and simple human nature can affect you
  • Use the rational part of your brain more effectively
  • Frame the disappointment or failure in a different light
  • Look at how support from others is key
  • Examine how the length of the setback is determined by your response to it

This session is suitable for all staff who want an introduction into some quick tips to help overcome disappointments, better position disappointments (and the true importance of them) and build resilience.

The aim is to show that there are always bumps in the road but it is how you deal with them that affects how quickly you reach your destination.

A slightly abridged version of this session was trialled at the Middle Manager's Academy End of Year event and the feedback was that 80% of the delegates thought this would be a useful session for their staff to attend.
