Event description
Join us for a virtual online Death Cafe. A chance to gather together eat cake, drink tea and talk about death and dying

About this event

A chat about death over coffee and cake might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it could get people talking about a subject that is still taboo for many. In our Death Cafés we aim to empower communities with the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage with death, dying and loss.

Here’s what one attendee, Sue, had to say about her experience:

“Death is part of life and affects us all, yet it largely remains a taboo subject. Attending the death cafe has given me the chance to discuss and learn from others and consider how I feel about my own wishes for the end of my life and to express those to my family. It is a positive, interesting experience and feels very safe to chat about death which you can’t do anywhere else”.

Please be aware that the Death Cafe is not intended to be bereavement support and is therefore not suitable for newly bereaved people.

The death cafe is facilitated by Princess Alice Hospice
