Death Cafe

Overview

Heartfelt discussions around death and dying in a supportive space.

Despite the hustle and bustle and twinkly lights, the Winter and Christmas time can be a sad time for many of us who have lost loved ones. A Death Cafe provides a gentle, supportive space where people can come together to talk about all things connected to death, grief, loss and bereavement. By sharing our experiences with other people we can come to a deeper level of understanding and help to heal some of the grief we hold.

There is never any pressure to speak if you don't wish to. At Angelic Aurora we have created a way to have open authentic discussions around the traditionally taboo subject of death - from planning our own end of life, to bereavement, loss, whether that be a beloved person, or our pet family, the antipatory grief when dealing with things like dementia diagonsis, to loss in our personal or working lives - all situations can be covered.

We would like to share this death cafe at the newly opened Brew & Renew Cafe in support of local business. Spaces are limited, so although this is a FREE event, there are only 15 tickets available, we would very much appreciate it if you could book a ticket so we know how many people are attending, as the cafe is opening up especially for this event.

Angelic Aurora is a voluntary organisation, so we do really appreciate any donations that we receive - these help us to do things like printing and buying books etc.

Teas, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious cakes will be available to purchase from the cafe throughout.

There is free parking in the public car park right opposite the cafe.

We look forward to welcoming you,

With warmth and love,

Sam, Simone and Tracy
