Overview

A Death Cafe is an opportunity to come together for an open discussion about the end of life, death, bereavement and grief.

A Death Cafe is a space in the community where people can come together to talk openly and honestly about some of our society's great taboos - the end of life, death, grief and loss.

It is not counselling or therapy. It is an opportunity to have conversations that other people in your life might be uncomfortable with. Everyone who comes along is curious to talk about some of life's big questions. We skip the small talk and get straight into it.

I am an End of Life Doula and I host the cafe. I hold the space to make sure people feel comfortable and can join in as much or as little as they want. There is no agenda and no experts.

Each cafe I host is different based on who comes along and what they are interested in talking about. There are sometimes tears, and there is often laughter.
