Event description

Description

The only thing we can guarantee in life is that we are all going to die. If we can get our heads around that , then we can get on with living. A Death Café is an informal gathering where people meet to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. The evening builds on the Death Cafe model of group-led discussion on issues around our finite lives. It is a positive, life affirming event which will hopefully help you reflect on life and how we live it.

The session is hosted by Stephanie Nimmo, a Wimbledon-based writer and author of the book "Was this in the Plan?" and facilitated by Tara Kerr-Elliot a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist.

FAQs

Im intrigued, tell me more?

The Death Cafe is completely informal, it's a gathering of people who share as little or as much as they wish about the subject of death. It's not counselling nor will there be anyone selling anything, it's simply an opprtunity to share thoughts. You can participate as much or as little as you wish.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Because of the sensitive nature of the disussion the event is only open to over 18s

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

please contact me via www.stephnimmo.com

I'm recently bereaved, is it for me?

The Death cafe is not a counselling group, however if you feel comfortable coming along please do. Most people find it a very uplifting experience. There is much laughter!
