PRONI is delighted to welcome author Stephen Cameron to speak on the Princess Victoria disaster of 1953.

About this Event

The mv Princess Victoria was a roll-on/ roll-off ferry which operated between Larne and Stranraer. She left Stranraer on the 31st January and sailed into what has been called ‘The Great Storm of 1953’. The ship was lost and only 44 men survived the sinking. No women or children were saved.

Stephen Cameron is the author of Death in the North Channel (published by Colourpoint in 2002) as well as Titanic Belfast’s Own (Colourpoint 2011) and Belfast Shipbuilders (Colourpoint 2011).
