Dr Tom Webb (Animal and Plant Sciences) and Vera Fibisan (School of English) will draw on a range of perspectives from a science and literature background to explore the various ways we envisage the role of nature in a future world.
Amongst other issues, they'll explore conflicts between biodiversity conservation and development as well as the impact rich world conservation ethics has on economically poor, developing countries.

There will be a panel discussion featuring members of academic staff from both the School of English and APS interwoven with digital presentations featuring visions of nature in a world of 10bn from a variety of the University's academic and postgraduate researchers.
Dr Tom Webb and Vera Fibisan will also be conducting short presentations of their approach of this topic through the perspective of their own research.
