About this event

'I always look forward to our weekly debating sessions on Zoom. It gives me the opportunity to challenge myself when talking about a wide variety of things, helping to improve my articulacy, a skill that I believe is very valuable. But, to be honest, I mostly come for the people I get to spend time with. I've been surprised at how much how can get to know someone without ever having met them in person! All in all, I hope to continue to attend and learn as much as possible.' Participant , aged 13.

Our debating topics cover a wide range of disciplines which can enable you to talk about things you are passionate about and develop transferable skills, including empathy, listening, and teamwork. And they have fun!

Regular agendas include: Welcome, introductions, icebreakers, THE DEBATE, the results, WORD OF THE WEEK, and finally, contributions from the participants.
