Course aims and objectives

This training is for staff to learn about structured debriefing. It will provide the opportunity to acquire skills to conduct a structured debrief, together with information why it is necessary following an emergency response and how to learn from the experience.

On completion of this event you will have gained an understanding and knowledge of the following:

  • Identify and review relevant information required for successful briefings and debriefs
  • Identify the advantages of different debrief methods and models
  • Identify the resources or facilities needed for debriefing
  • Facilitate the debriefing in a structured and organised way
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve future planning and response

Disseminate the results of debriefing to relevant people

Target audience

Key members of (staff / management) teams from partner organisations within Kent who require further knowledge / training in and whose professional duties require them to engage in multi-agency debrief events whether on a core, non-core or invited basis.

Course Fee

This training is funded through Part 1 of the KRF Partnership Agreement.

There will be a charge for non-attendance. Please see the Terms & Conditions.

This event is restricted to 16 delegates per course, so early booking is advised.

Priority will be given to Part 1 organisations.

There will be an admin charge of £150 per delegate for those organisations outside of the Partnership Agreement.
