Decade of Change: Documenting the Climate Crisis

Part of New Narratives: a mini-series of online events co-programmed by British Journal of Photography and Belfast Photo Festival exploring photography’s role in our changing world.

This event explores how photographers are responding to and recording the many facets of the climate crisis: the strength and fragility of the natural world; the indirect impacts on communities and everyday people, and our global efforts to turn things around.

In conjunction with, Decade of Change, a global photography award and collaborative exhibition from 1854 Media and British Journal of Photography, dedicated to the defining issue of our time: the climate. Spanning humankind to wildlife and cityscapes to ecosystems, the award explores the many facets of the climate crisis: the strength and fragility of the natural world; the indirect impacts on communities and everyday people, and our global efforts to turn things around.
