About this event

Are you working on or are you interested in supporting endings in nonprofits or charities in the UK - from closures to mergers to other transitions and endings throughout the lifecycles of organisations?

Are you interested in meeting like-minded people to find solidarity and build collaboration in this growing area of need?

If you've answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, we at The Decelerator are also keen to be part of building better connections and shared learning between all those doing work on better endings in civil society (and beyond!).

Every other month, we'll be hosting a Deceleration Hour.

What to expect

You can access the Zoom meeting room* at 12 pm when one of the Deceleration team members will give a quick introduction to The Decelerator’s work. We will spend the rest of the hour in breakout rooms and in the main room exploring specific questions together. By the end of each hour together you’ll have met some new people, explored the current context of endings together and hopefully feel the benefit of an hour of deceleration yourself.

If you have any questions please email hello@decelerator.org.uk. We look forward to meeting you at the next Deceleration Hour!

*We will send you the link to the Zoom meeting in the days before the meeting you have signed up for. If you haven't received it the morning of the event, please check spam and/or send Sieske a message.

Organized by

We support organisations and individuals to anticipate and design closures, mergers, CEO transitions, programming ends, and all sorts of endings as just part of the everyday life of organisations and inevitable cycles of change in civil society. Our support and information is free at the point of use for nonprofit organisations. We may signpost you to further paid support if you have the need and means for it.
