Join acclaimed actor Simon Callow for a memorable evening of music, storytelling and festive cheer. Sing along to some of the most cherished Christmas carols and leave feeling uplifted and inspired, knowing you’ve been part of something truly special.
As well as hosting the evening, Simon will read excerpts from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, bringing the timeless story to life in one of London’s most beautiful settings. All Hallows by the Tower, especially magical at Christmas, provides the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable night.
After selling out last year, Deck the Halls with Streetwise Opera returns for its fourth year as part of London’s winter celebrations. This year’s programme features the premiere of a brand-new Christmas carol, co-created by people experiencing homelessness through workshops at The Connection at St Martin’s, a moment that promises to make this celebration truly unique.
Participants from Streetwise Opera’s weekly London workshops will lead the audience in singing much-loved Christmas carols, conducted by Associate Artist Aga Serugo-Lugo. More guest artists for this memorable evening will be announced soon.
All proceeds from the event will support Streetwise Opera’s work with people who’ve experienced homelessness. Through singing and creativity, we help people gain confidence, rediscover their potential and find inspiration as they rebuild their lives.
Seating is unreserved and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to book 10 tickets or more, please contact ruby.thorne@streetwiseopera.org for a 10% discount code before placing your order. All Hallows by the Tower is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
About Streetwise Opera
Streetwise Opera is an opera company that enables people who’ve experienced homelessness to find inspiration and empowerment while they rebuild their lives and identities. We support participants to develop as creative people and, as we amplify their voices, change how society views homelessness.
We engage world-class artists, both established and emerging, to co-create bold new work and reimagine traditional repertoire. We create opera that is for everyone and, by bringing together diverse voices, change how society views opera.
